This blog site was created by Allan Baxter to promote tourism in Belize and showcase the natural beauty of this Central American country through his photography.  The goal of the blog is to document as much of the country, people, flora, fauna and archaeological sites as possible over the next several years (the project started in December 2007).  Postings are daily and image selection is visually randomized and kid-friendly.  Use the image tags, site search or map links to navigate and explore - this site contains more than 500 images!

  • All of the images displayed in Picture Belize were created by Allan Baxter during his on-going journeys and adventures in Belize.
  • He is based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and San Pedro Town, Ambergris Caye, Belize.
  • Picture Belize is maintained as a hobby to hone his web design skills.  His primary photography website is located at www.58images.com/ 
  • His photographic interests are diverse.  One day it can be cowboys & indians (he volunteers with the Calgary Stampede) and the next day industrial machines or tropical paradise.  This site explores his interest in travel, nature and landscape photography. 
  • His creative inspiration is a hybrid blend:  part scientific and documentary, part artistic, and part romantic - all of this fueled by an urge to travel and discover.
